We run a Goshala (cow shed) at Devanahalli. At present the Goshala is home to about 52 cows and calves, donated by the public on various special occasions.
On the advice of Mr. Viswanath Srikantaiah of the Rainwater Club, the urine of these cows is being converted to 'grey water' and is used for watering grass and other plants. We now have two Bio-gas plant functioning that converts the cow dung generated into cooking gas.
  • Donate a cow - Rs. 80,000
  • Cost of cow feed per day - Rs. 10,000
  • Cost of green grass per day - Rs. 500
  • Cost of feeding one cow per day - Rs. 200
